    We will be holding a Free Virtual Presentation for our March meeting.

    SUMMARY: Defining Special Inspection (IBC 1704), inspections and tests that are required, qualifications of the special inspector, and understand the Special Inspections submittal process.  In addition, the presentation will describe the primary types of Construction Materials Testing & Inspections.  More importantly, it highlights the benefits of Construction Testing & Inspections that could be required by the local jurisdiction.

    The presentation wil begin at 12:00 pm.  The webinar session will open 30 minutes early (11:30 am) with announcements at 11:45 am.

    SPEAKER: Michael J. Mazzoli ([email protected]) is the Regional Vice President for the Building and Construction Division at Intertek-PSI.  As part of the executive leadership team, he conducts oversight and management of the Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing and Inspection Services for operations in Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia.  His duties include financial responsibilities, client development, subcontractor procurements, contract review, and daily improvement of internal quality programs.

    Mike Mazzoli is a graduate of Ohio Northern University (1996), with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, His entire career has been in the construction and consulting industry. From early in his career as a Project Engineer / Manager, he has been involved with many public and private construction projects and developments that have provided him with knowledge and experience needed to make the projects a success for all team members.  His hands-on expertise enables him to provide engineering consultation for geotechnical and subgrade conditions, concrete investigations, and related construction support.
